My recent work stems from constantly uprooting myself and finding the new surroundings
distressing, leaving me awkward within them. I am without familiar or personal space.
I find myself in a transitional period and uncertain of my position in the current context
of my life, as well as, the physical location. There is an ever-present instability and
unsteadiness concerning my origins and my future, which I am considering in my images.
At the same time I am looking at the influence of portraiture and performance art on my
work. I combine elements of portrait photography and performance to explore my hesitations
and uneasiness.
